Final Fantasy VII Rebirth features a lot of classic characters from the franchise that players can use along their journey, including Barret Wallace the powerhouse.
This character primarily uses his gun arm to dish out damage against enemies and help the party. There are still several weapon options for Barret that players can find and equip on him to make him stronger.
These weapons can be found inside purple chests that are scattered throughout major Chapter regions. Among these, there are some weapons that will give Barret much more useful or more powerful skills that can help turn the tide of battle to your advantage.
Vulcan Cannon
This particular weapon gives Barret a melee ability known as Charging Uppercut that knocks an enemy into the air. This is very useful when you are trying to reposition your enemies to make the most out of your combination attacks, according to Screen Rant.
The Vulcan Cannon also gives the character an increased charge for his secondary combat skill Overcharge. The latter typically has to build up from the basic shots that you fire at enemies. But if you spend the AT on Charging Uppercut instead, it will let you prepare this move faster.
This is important to know because a lot of Barret's damage potential comes from the explosive bullets from his Overcharge skill. This means that building it up as fast as you can lets you deal more damage. This weapon can be found in Chapter 8 inside the Scrapyard Prison Cell.

Barrage Blaster
The Barrage Blaster is another good weapon for Barret that can be found in the Railway Control Tower of the Coal Mines in Chapter 7. It gives the ability Lifesaver that temporarily increases your HP and makes you absorb damage that was intended for other party members.
This is useful for Barret because he works extremely well when he serves as the party's tank character. The Barrage Blaster's ability lets you save a member of your party. You can even increase Barret's defense to take advantage of this weapon.
Hi-Caliber Rifle
This weapon can be found inside a purple chest on a grassy island while crossing the swamp in the southwest part of the Grasslands. You will have to pass through this area during the Through the Swamplands Main Scenario in Chapter 2.
The Hi-Caliber Rifle's bonus ability is known as Bonus Round and lets you load your weapon with unique bullets. These increase stagger and power up the damage of your attacks, Game Rant said.
Battle Cry
If you prefer to have Barret as a damage dealer, the final weapon you can get is a great choice for this type of build. It will increase the character's damage output the most out of any weapon in Final Fantasy VII Rebirth.
You can consider three particular upgrades; Weapon Ability ATB Recovery, ATB Charge Up Rate, and Limit Gauge Recharge Rate +10%, according to Kotaku. This particular weapon can be obtained in Chapter 13 inside the Temple of the Ancients.
