Drive Rally is now out on early access and gives players a chance to race on various tracks with forgiving physics and handling.

The latest release comes after the game had a demo earlier this year that many players enjoyed for its relative ease of handling. The majority of cars that players can drive have a good amount of grip and short braking distances.

This makes it feel much more comfortable to simply press the accelerator and worry about driving your vehicle around a tree. The early access for Drive Rally also contains a lot of environments that players can try.

Each of these regions is a large expanse that is then broken down into several tracks. One of the biggest draws of rally racing for a lot of fans is nature tourism. Some are hoping that these tracks are more immersive than just being a track, according to Rock Paper Shotgun.

Developer Pixel Perfect Dude said that they hope to keep the racing game in its early access version for one year. They added that new content and balance adjustments will be made based on player feedback.

The studio said that this would include the addition of new cars to expand its roster as well as new maps and tracks. Pixel Perfect Dude also plans on adding new Co-Pilots that players can drive with as well as car customization parts and items.

Right now, players can race on 24 different stages across four locales using one of the 12 cars available in the early access version. Drive Rally features beautiful visuals that are defined by texture-light, low-poly aesthetic, The Drive said.

A Beautiful Racing World

Some players have argued that the game is actually a little bit too easy as you barely get off track even if you are nearly perpendicular to the road. Previous rally racing games became popular for being easy to learn but hard to master.

However, it seems like Drive Rally is just aiming for a reputation of being a beginner-friendly rally racing game. Fortunately, the game still lets you pull off wild drifts with some relatively predictable physics.

The car roster is probably the most attractive thing about Drive Rally as they are all real-world models. What is even more surprising is that they are the types of cars that indie games generally do not have the funds to get the licenses for.

They come with fully modeled interiors as well as various cosmetic parts to make your vehicle unique among the pack, according to Yahoo News.
