'Helldivers 2' Chemical Agents Warbond Arrives This Month: Here's What To Expect

Helldivers 2 is getting its Chemical Agents Warbond later this month and adds a ton of new stuff, including some "seriously deadly toys."

Arrowhead Game Studios revealed that the game's next Premium Warbond will have stratagems, utilities, emotes, and other additions. When it comes out, players will have a chance to get the TX-41 Sterilizer weapon.

There is also the G-4 Gas grenade that will supposedly "cover the whole area in a cloud of noxious fumes." The trailer for the Chemical Agents Warbond shows what players can expect to see when it finally arrives in Helldivers 2.

Players who are looking to upgrade their looks will have a chance to try out the new armor and capes coming with the new Warbond. Some of these are the Standard of Safe Distance cape and the Patient Zero's Remembrance cape, according to Eurogamer.

There are also some new emotes that are being added with the Chemical Agents Warbond. These include the Natural Gas Extraction that allows your squad to pull your finger. There is also another that is simply known as Ew.

The game's next Premium Warbond is set to arrive on Sept. 19, 2024. This comes after the developer detailed the first batch of balance changes and improvements that will be implemented in Helldivers 2 in the future.

The new armors coming in the Chemical Agents Warbond have the Advanced Filtration passive. This will give players resistance to the gas clouds that they will generate using the new weapons, said the PlayStation Blog.

New Armors Emotes

The AF-50 Noxious Ranger lightweight armor is best worn with the Standard of Safe Distance cape. Players who want even more protection can opt for the medium AF-02 Haz-Master and matching Patient Zero's Remembrance cape.

On top of these, Arrowhead Game Studios is adding another set of patterns for players' Hellpods, Pelican-1, and exosuit. A new player title can also be unlocked that lets you become the Expert Exterminator.

Social media and community manager Katherine Baskin talked about the studio's decision to include new stratagem variants but no new weapons. She said that the designers felt that since gas is a crowd control tool, it made more sense to let Helldivers choose the primary weapons they love the most.

Baskin also noted that the development means that there will be some serious variety coming to Helldivers 2's next Premium Warbond. They are hoping that players will be able to enjoy these features when they arrive, according to IGN.
