Honkai: Star Rail's 2.5 Update Launches This Month; Here's What To Expect

Honkai: Star Rail's 2.5 update is set to arrive on Sept. 10, 2024, and brings with it a lot of new content that fans can expect to see very soon.

The last update for the game was released in July earlier this year and this month's patch will add three new characters. On top of this, Honkai: Star Rail version 2.5 will introduce the Wardance ceremony alongside new foes to battle with.

And to make fans more excited about the upcoming update, HoYoverse recently shared a trailer that showcased the patch and what it includes. The studio also described the story added in the new patch as well as detailed the Wardance ceremony.

Version 2.5 follows a recent prison break in The Shackling Prison where the Cloud Knight has arrived to initiate rescue efforts. This is also where Genera Feixiao will personally lead her troops to go and capture the Borisin criminals who escaped, according to Ungeek.

On the other hand, General Jing Yuan will have to investigate the incident as to how the prisoners were able to make their escape. General Huaiyan will be responsible for overseeing the Luofu's Six Commissions.

The upcoming update also introduces the Luminary Wardance that attracts participants, including some familiar faces, such as Luka. Trailblazers who choose to engage in activities related to this event will be able to earn the charming pet "Tuskpir" as a companion.

Honkai: Star Rail's version 2.5 will feature a new banner where Phase 1 will give players the chance to pull for 5-star Feixiao, 5-star Robin, 5-star Kafka, and 5-star Black Swan alongside a list of 4-star characters, said Dexerto.

On the other hand, Phase 2 of the new banner will feature 5-star Lingsha and 5-star Topaz alongside a different set of 4-star characters. Furthermore, there are other events in the new patch than just the Luminary Wardance Ceremony.

A Lot of New Content

There is also the Festive Revelry, where you will relax after solving the crisis of Xianzhou Loufu and play a mini-game to earn great rewards. There will also be the Gift of Odyssey and the Gift of Comet.

The former will reward players with 10 free Star Rail Special Passes if they log in for seven days. On the other hand, the latter will have Feixiao giving out 1,000 Stellar Jades and other rewards to all Trailblazers.

The upcoming update will also add several new Light Cones to the game, including a list of 5-star ones such as I Venture Forth to Hunt, Flowing Nightglow, Reforged Remembrance, Patience Is All You Need, Scent Along Stays True, and Worrisome, Blissful, according to OneEsports.
