Star Wars Outlaws just released in early access and is the latest title based on the popular franchise that features many exotic planets and galactic adventures for players to go on.
The early access launch comes a few days away from the game's official Aug. 30, 2024, release and many players are now able to try out the game first-hand. This beginner's tips and tricks guide helps newcomers learn what they should be focusing on in the early game.
Embrace the Game's Slow Beginning
In Star Wars Outlaws, the protagonist, Kay Vess, doesn't leave the best first impression among players. Her initial excursion on Canto Bight focuses on a failed heist, boring character development, as well as a start to her story that doesn't seem too great.
However, the game really picks up when you leave the first planet behind and start to get your hands on both a ship as well as a speeder. After you crash-land on Toshara Moon, you will need to find all of the components you need to repair the Trailblazer, according to TheGamer.
It is recommended to push through the game's early stages and finish main quests to get essential skills and abilities that make Star Wars Outlaws much more fun. Furthermore, you will also be able to travel to quite a few different planets to take on various quests and contracts.
Take Advantage of Nix's Abilities
Kay Vess doesn't journey alone through the galaxy as she is accompanied by Nix, an adorable little creature who has a surprising amount of mechanical versatility.
Nix can open vents and grates to solve puzzles but you can also use him to distract enemies, wrestle them into submission, or steal stuff from them.
Players will also see a blue icon on their screen whenever they hover over something that Nix can interact with. With a quick press of a button, your companion can be activated immediately instead of slowing down time.

When do You Get a Map?
In the early stages of Star Wars Outlaws, players will not have access to a map, which is unsettling for those who are used to knowing where they are going. Fortunately, when you reach the city of Mirogana on Toshara, you'll get a map and later on access to fast travel, said Polygon.
Master the Art of Stealth
Despite how Star Wars Outlaws was clearly inspired by Han Solo, who is known for shooting first, the game has more of a focus on stealth. This comes to a point where players will see a number of missions that they will automatically fail if they are spotted.
Furthermore, on other missions where you can actually shoot enemies, the game sends so many at you that you simply can't outgun them all. The stealth mechanics in Star Wars Outlaws work similarly to the Assassin's Creed franchise and it is relatively forgiving.
Don't be Afraid To Fight
While the game focuses on stealth, players should not be afraid to get down and dirty against enemies whenever they have a chance to win in a straight-up shootout. You should take advantage of the various covers that the game provides before shooting your enemies and then returning to duck and hide.
Another thing is that when you kill enemies using your blaster pistol, some will drop their blaster rifles that deal more damage. You can pick them up to use against other enemies but be warned that they have limited charges, according to Insider Gaming.
