Fortnite Rumors Talk of Potential 'The Simpsons' Collaboration

There are rumors spreading that Fortnite is allegedly preparing for a collaboration with the popular TV show "The Simpsons" in the future.

This comes as Fortnite has had many major collaborations throughout its run, the latest of which is Marvel-themed. The latest rumors come from an anonymous source who leaked the upcoming Fortnite x Disney shop and avatar collaborations.

Fortnite x The Simpsons Rumors

They contacted Sam Leaks and noted that Fortnite x The Simpsons is actually happening, which if true, would be major news for the game. Right now, players are still waiting for the Fortnite x Marvel collaboration, which is launching on Aug. 16, 2024, according to MyNintendoNews.

The idea that Fortnite and "The Simpsons" will work on a collaboration makes sense for several different reasons. The first is that Disney has now become a partial stakeholder in Fortnite developer Epic Games.

This means that players can expect to see more crossovers from the mega media corporation's massive list of properties in the future. This could potentially result in a new "universe" that Epic Games is building within its Fortnite game that is associated entirely with Disney.

Also, Disney has previously shown willingness to use its animated properties in Fortnite. This was in late 2023 when the game's collaboration with "Family Guy" happened that featured a skin associated with the show's main character, Peter Griffin as part of the Chapter 5 Season 1 Battle Pass, said ComicBook.

Also, the "Giant Chicken" from the TV show was also later added to Fortnite as an additional skin that players can buy from the Item Shop. Due to the similarity between "Family Guy" and "The Simpsons," it's not impossible to think that the latter would also collaborate with Fortnite.

Potential New Additions

While so far there are only rumors about the potential collaboration between "The Simpsons" and Fortnite, many players are already speculating when it could come to the game. Some said that it would come in time for the game's Chapter 5 Season 4, known as Absolute Doom.

This season was first announced at D23, a Disney fan event, and was revealed to feature a ton of new Marvel skins and appropriate Battle Pass. Furthermore, it would also include Disney villains and Pixar skins down the line.

Many fans are already hyped up for Fortnite's upcoming new season and the rumors of a potential "The Simpsons" collaboration are only further fanning the flames. Other people have already started to joke that they will use up their life savings in the upcoming season, according to EsportsIllustrated.
