In Minecraft, armor sets are a crucial piece of equipment that will save you more often than not against deadly creatures or other players.

This guide helps players learn how to get materials and craft the Netherite armor set, which is arguably the strongest set in the game right now. It surpasses even the Diamond armor set and is immune from damage by lava.

Getting Netherite Armor

The stats that Netherite armor provides are even higher than Diamond as you need the latter to actually craft it. While the former is actually immune from lava damage, the player isn't, which means you can still die from it.

However, the Netherite armor will float on the surface of lava, which makes it easier for you to retrieve it later on, according to GamesRadar.

The first thing you need to do to craft Netherite armor is get yourself a full Diamond armor set. This would require some Minecraft diamonds that can be found below Y-level 16 and the deeper you go, the more common they become.

Then, you need to get a Smithing Table, which you can take from villages or craft using two iron ingots and placing them over a 2x2 square of wooden planks. You then place the Diamond armor set piece in the Smithing Table along with a Netherite ingot.

This process actually keeps enchantments that are on the Diamond armor pieces and transfers them over when you upgrade them to Netherite. To get these, there are two main ways; the first of which is to use bookshelves to make a level 30 Minecraft enchanting area.

The second is setting up a Minecraft villager trading hall and resetting a librarian's trades until you find them selling a useful enchanted book. While this will require a few different librarians, it is a much more recommended way of getting enchantments, said Sportskeeda.

Enchanting Your Gear

Some of the best enchantments that you should be using on your Netherite armor pieces include Mending, Feather Falling, and Protection or Blast Protection. The first one, Mending, allows you to restore the durability of armor by collecting experience orbs.

The second, Feather Falling, reduces your speed when falling and is actually one of the best ways to avoid falling fall damage in Minecraft. The last one, Protection or Blast Protection, gives you additional defense against particular damage types.

If you want to personalize your Netherite armor set, there are 11 distinct designs (armor trims) that you can use as well as 10 different colors. This lets you give your armor a unique flavor when showing off to other players, according to Beebom.
