Ubisoft Grapples with New Leaks of Star Wars Outlaws Gameplay

Ubisoft is now the target of a huge gameplay leakage for its upcoming game Star Wars Outlaws. Leaked footage was then uploaded to YouTube with more than 13 minutes of gameplay, later brought down by Ubisoft through a copyright claim. Despite being brought down, the footage propagated in many media, saying details about the protagonist of the game, Kay Vess, and her adventures.

Further Spoilers and Gameplay Details Emerge

Further gameplay footage appeared on social media, with more details of the player character Kay Vess as she navigates her way, plays a card game from the Star Wars universe called Sabacc, and partakes in space combat. The leaked content also disclosed that Kay has to recover from a crash landing on a moon, fend off bandits, and seek work from a crime boss to repair her spaceship. The gameplay showcases a third-person shooter perspective, open-world travel, and encounters with Stormtroopers.

Official Details and Release Information

Star Wars Outlaws was announced in 2023 for a period between Star Wars: Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back and Star Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi. It follows Kay Vess, together with her droid partner ND-5 and her creature companion Nix, through different situations in the criminal underworld.

Added to this list are Tatooine, a Toshara moon, Akiva, Kijimi, and Cantonica-ranging in scale from zones in Assassin's Creed Odyssey. Star Wars Outlaws comes out August 27, 2024, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and S, and PC. It'll have a Standard Edition, which will be $70, and a Gold Edition, which will come with early access and a Season Pass at $110. There will also be an Ultimate Edition strictly digital that comes with unique cosmetics and a digital art book.
