EA Apologizes to Players for Game Bugs

Released only days before the extremely long-awaited "Lovestruck" expansion pack, a free base game update added curved pool tools and polyamory options. It also introduced significant issues, incurring complaints on behalf of a wide swathe of players.

This update is riddled with bugs, according to community feedback, some of which include crashing the game, making Sims behave strangely, and it has even been described by some players as completely a "total mess."

Commitment to the Fixing of Bugs

Gamers have taken to forums like Reddit to express their anger, saying that many problems seem to occur whenever a new update comes out. One responded, "9/10 times when EA puts out a new update it doesn't go well," with others mentioning similar issues in the past, mentioning the "For Rent" update. A lot of players are getting frustrated about how long it is going to take for the problems to be fixed by EA, especially ones including rude Sims acting that way toward other Sims for no apparent reason.

EA responded to the problems, promising players that they are working on fixing the problem. The company reassured, "Investigation of the problems related to overly mean Sims and neighborhood stories will be given priority." They further asked players experiencing these problems to "provide a save file and report the issues to EA's help forums for quicker resolution."
