Sales data reveals that Resident Evil 7, the popular horror game from Capcom, has struggled to gain traction on iOS. According to estimates from Appmagic, shared by MobileGamer.biz, the game has been purchased by fewer than 2000 players since its release on 2nd July.

Despite being downloaded 83,000 times, indicating initial interest, only 2.4 percent of players opted to purchase the full version priced at £15.99. This has resulted in an estimated revenue of approximately $28,140 for Capcom, excluding Apple's 30 percent share.

The underwhelming performance of Resident Evil 7 on iOS echoes similar struggles faced by other AAA titles like Resident Evil 4, Resident Evil Village, Death Stranding, and Assassin's Creed Mirage over the past year.
