Today, Microsoft launched a dynamic background based on the beloved "Blades" format from the Xbox 360, which first appeared in 2005. This new feature is now available for download on modern Xbox consoles. The green and grey design, famous among Xbox fans, is back to bring a touch of nostalgia.

How to Install the Blades Background
- To install the Xbox 360 Blades background, follow these steps:
- Press the Xbox button in the middle of the controller to open the menu.
- Navigate to Profile & System and select Settings.
- Under the General tab, select Personalization, then navigate to My Background and choose Dynamic Backgrounds.
- In the Featured Tab, select Xbox 360 Blades.
While this background brings back memories, it does not allow users to navigate through the interface like the original. This update appears to be a final nod to the Xbox 360, whose storefront will permanently close on July 29. Although Xbox 360 content that is backwards compatible with Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S will still be available through their digital storefronts, items exclusive to the Xbox 360 Marketplace will no longer be accessible after this date.
A Nostalgic Tribute to Xbox 360
The Xbox 360 era is a significant chapter in Microsoft's history, marking the rise of the Xbox brand. Launched in 2005, the Xbox 360 quickly became a cornerstone of the gaming world. To honor this legacy, a $150 buildable replica of the Xbox 360 from Mega is also available.
