Call of Duty: Warzone's Season 5 will bring back Superstore as a Point of Interest (POI) as it has been a fan-favorite Verdansk location among players.
The battle royale game's Urzikstan map will get a large dose of nostalgia in the upcoming season. The news follows the annual trend for the franchise where things just go wild and comes ahead of the release of the latest game in the franchise, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6.
Call of Duty: Warzone's Superstore POI
With it, players are now seeing the final couple of seasons spiral into madness with various unexpected crossovers, eccentric skins, and wild limited-time modes. This is also the perfect time for the developer to hit the nostalgia button, which is exactly what is happening in Call of Duty: Warzone.
The return of Superstore as a POI comes alongside the likes of Downtown and Stadium and marks the comeback of one of the most recognizable and popular map points. It was a desirable central spot in the Verdansk map that players who wanted to get kills would regularly drop on, according to PCGamesN.
In any Call of Duty: Warzone match, the first few minutes in Superstore were always bound to be chaotic and hotly-contested. Now, players will be able to relive that battle-frenzy carnage all over again.

Despite the announcement, there were no details shared on whether or not the new addition will be a totally identical replica of the original Verdansk POI. Even the short teaser that was revealed did not provide much for players to speculate on.
The Superstore POI will be coming back to Call of Duty: Warzone on Wednesday, July 24, 2024, alongside the full release of the game's Season 5. The arrival of the Superstore POI comes as the game is currently experiencing a few issues, said Insider Gaming.
Bringing Back the Area
Players have also had a largely positive reaction to the news that the Superstore POI is coming back to Call of Duty: Warzone. Furthermore, there are many who had previously been critical of the game who have now had a change of heart due to the news.
However, there are others who claim that the developer using nostalgia as a means to generate hype for Call of Duty: Warzone is a sign that the game is dying or struggling.
There are a few salty people who questioned if Raven Software really thought that players would come back or stop complaining just because of the return of a POI.
But for now, only time will tell if the return of the Superstore location will actually make a positive impact on the Call of Duty: Warzone community after it actually drops. But until then, players can only prepare and talk with their friends about tackling the area when it becomes available, according to EsportsIllustrated.
The return of the location is so far the first morsel of Call of Duty: Warzone's Season 5 that players have been given. It comes as the attention of the majority of the franchise's fans has turned to Call of Duty: Black Ops 6.
