Zenless Zone Zero May Come to Switch 2, Producer Teases

Producer Zhenyu Li discussed the possibility of bringing Hoyoverse's latest game, Zenless Zone Zero, to Nintendo's upcoming Switch 2. The announcement was made during an interview with Famitsu.

Hoyoverse's Plan for Zenless Zone Zero

Zenless Zone Zero is the newest game from Hoyoverse, known for Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Rail. It stands out as an urban fantasy sci-fi action RPG, offering stylish gameplay similar to its predecessors. Players can obtain various characters through a gacha system using in-game currency.

Currently, Zenless Zone Zero is available on iOS, Android, PC, and PS5. Li mentioned that they are working hard to bring Zenless Zone Zero to more consoles, including the Switch and Xbox. However, he noted that this is more of a hope than a confirmed plan. He expressed his strong support for the idea of bringing the game to Nintendo's next console.

Hoyoverse's History with Nintendo Switch

Despite Hoyoverse's interest in the Switch, Nintendo fans have been waiting for official support from the developer. Genshin Impact was announced for the Switch in January 2020, but there has been no update since then. Many assume the Switch port was canceled due to exclusive deals with Sony for the PS5.

Hoyoverse aims to release Zenless Zone Zero on multiple platforms, which would benefit the studio. Currently, a Switch 2 port of Zenless Zone Zero remains a hope rather than a plan. Li, a fan of Nintendo, hopes to see this become a reality.
