Assassin's Creed Mirage is the latest currently available game in the franchise ahead of the full release of Assassin's Creed Shadows.
The latest game in the series was released in 2023 and is described as a tight, keenly focused game. Assassin's Creed Mirage builds on the success and popular features of its predecessors. This guide will provide some essential tips and tricks for people who are more or less just starting out in the franchise.
Rely on Your Eagle
In Assassin's Creed Mirage, players will be paired with an eagle companion named Enkidu, who can be controlled by pressing up on the D-pad. Using Enkidu, you will be able to reveal nearby objectives.
Additionally, enemies that you fly over will automatically get tagged, letting you keep a watchful eye on their location at all times. Later on, the eagle will get mid-level skills that let you highlight keys and secret entrances, according to Polygon.
Focus on Stealth
What some fans may have forgotten down the line is that stealth is a key aspect of the Assassin's Creed franchise as a whole. This has been brought back in Assassin's Creed Mirage after the last three installments focused on full-action RPG gameplay.
In this particular title, your character is much more fragile and will die to only a few hits while also dealing minimal damage to enemies in a straight-up brawl. This means that the easiest way for you to kill foes is via assassination.
Beware of Guards
Whenever you commit crimes in Assassin's Creed Mirage, your wanted level will go up and there are three levels. Each one will ramp up how intensely guards will hunt you down and there are a few ways to reduce this value.
The easiest of these is by tearing down your wanted posters, which can easily be found by pressing left on the D-pad to activate Eagle Vision. This would highlight key objects in orange.

Master the Art of Parrying
Whenever you get into a fight, you need to rely on being defensive and reactive with parries and dodges instead of blindly attacking your enemies. Keep a lookout for enemy attacks that glow bright yellow as they can be parried and have little windup, requiring you to have quick reflexes.
Additionally, tougher enemies will also require multiple parries in order to fully break their guard to leave them open for an assassination, said GamesRadar.
The Trickster Skill Tree
While you have three skill trees to choose from in Assassin's Creed Mirage, the Trickster is arguably the best option to put points into. This will improve all of your character's most useful tools that can be beneficial when acquired as early as possible.
This tree includes Knife Recovery, Pickpocket Mastery, and Engineer, which are some of the best skills in the entire game. You can also freely respect your points later in the game if you want to switch up your playstyle.
Take Advantage of Sleep Darts
In Assassin's Creed Mirage, pickpocketing an individual requires the completion of a minigame where a diamond appears on the screen with an outline that grows smaller toward the center. You need to hit the pickpocket button when the moving diamond outline is inside the blue diamond outline.
This becomes much more difficult with some pickpockets, but fortunately, you can use a sleep dart to make a target fall asleep. You can then easily pickpocket them without going through the minigame at all, according to GameInformer.
These tips and tricks will help you master the art of being an assassin ahead of the launch of Assassin's Creed Shadows in November later this year. The upcoming game features two protagonists, with one focusing on direct combat while the other focuses on stealth.
