Elden Ring Seamless Co-Op Mod Integrates Shadow of the Erdtree, Adds Invasion Feature

The popular Seamless Co-Op mod for Elden Ring has been updated to include the new Shadow of the Erdtree DLC and an optional invasion feature. The update was announced yesterday on the mod's Nexus Mods page. The mod's creator, LukeYui, noted that the mod is still in its beta stage and may have bugs. However, it allows players to experience a fully multiplayer run of Shadow of the Erdtree.

Elden Ring Mod Update

LukeYui explained that testing every possible path in Elden Ring is difficult due to the game's vastness. He emphasized that the beta aims to gather as much information as possible to fix bugs. Frequent updates will be made to address any issues that arise. Since the DLC update, the mod has been rewritten and requires extended beta testing. LukeYui asked for players' understanding during this phase.

Mod Features and Challenges

LukeYui highlighted that creating the mod took many hours and getting it to work with Shadow of the Erdtree was a significant effort. Despite the challenges, the mod has been operational just over a week since the DLC's release. The Seamless Co-Op mod allows players to enjoy Elden Ring and the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC in cooperative mode.

The mod includes various features such as enemy scaling options, synchronization of event flags, and compatibility with ModEngine 2. Players can also view the current session password in-game and choose invasion options.

There are still some bugs present, and LukeYui will continue working on fixes. The mod aims to provide a seamless multiplayer experience, though players should expect occasional issues during this beta phase. Elden Ring creator Hidetaka Miyazaki recently mentioned the Seamless Co-Op mod, suggesting that such a cooperative system could be implemented in future FromSoftware games.

At the time of writing, the Seamless Co-Op mod has been downloaded over 4 million times by nearly 2 million unique players, making it the most popular download on the Elden Ring Nexus Mods page.
