Life is Strange: Double Exposure's release has forced the series' original developers to delay the launch of their own game, moving it to a 2025 window.

The game that was affected is Lost Records: Bloom & Rage, which is made by the creative team behind the first two games in the Life is Strange franchise. Develop Don't Nod said in a press release that their new project will be launching in "early 2025."

Don't Nod chief Oskar Guilbert said that they know that many of their fans are eagerly waiting for their game similar to how they are excited for the new Life is Strange title. He wanted to give both games the space needed so that players could enjoy them to the fullest.

Guilbert added that they firmly believe that the wait for Lost Records: Bloom & Rage will be worth it for those who plan to buy the game.

He said that the studio and its workers are looking forward to sharing their latest project with the community which they hope will be a memorable chapter in the Don't Nod universe, according to Eurogamer.

Originally, Lost Records: Bloom & Rage was scheduled for a late 2024 release and Life is Strange: Double Exposure had an Oct. 29, 2024, launch date. The latter will be available for PC, PlayStation, and Xbox.

Don't Nod's latest project has a story that focuses on a group of friends who are reunited after being separated for more than two decades and with no contact. They must now "confront a long-buried secret that made them promise to never speak again."

Lost Records: Bloom & Rage was first announced during The Game Awards 2023 and was designed to start a new connected universe. This comes as the studio is also working on several other video game projects.

For now, players can go and pre-order the upcoming Life is Strange game and there is also an item-packed collector's edition that is available. The game was unveiled during the latest Xbox Games Showcase where fans were treated to a first look at the returning protagonist.

Max was the main character in the original Life is Strange game and now she is trying to turn back time, literally, to save the life of one of her friends. Developer Deck Nine is poised to deliver a beautiful and immersive narrative-driven game.

Other than the collector's edition, Life is Strange: Double Exposure will come in three packages, two of which will include a ton of in-game bonuses. These are the Standard Edition, the Digital Deluxe, and the Digital Ultimate.

The latter will cost $80 and include a variety of outfit packs, including the Spooky Outfit Pack, the Decades Outfit Pack, and the Final Fantasy VII Outfit Pack, among others. But the Collector's Edition, which will retail at $60, will have physical bonuses.

These are the 12-inch vinyl soundtrack, a mini hardcover artbook, four art cards, and a replica of Max's Own Pin, according to GameSpot.
