Disney's beloved Epic Mickey franchise is making a triumphant return, this time arriving on PC with a refreshed experience set to captivate fans old and new alike. Rediscovering Disney's Forgotten Realm
Originally a Wii-exclusive, Epic Mickey: Rebrushed revisits the storyline where Mickey, armed with a magical paintbrush, embarks on a journey through Wasteland. This realm is inhabited by forgotten Disney characters, including Oswald The Lucky Rabbit. Players wield the brush to create and erase elements of the environment, shaping the narrative and outcomes based on their choices.
Enhanced Gameplay and Exciting Features
The remake promises updated controls tailored for PC gaming, moving away from the Wii's motion controls. Additionally, Mickey gains new abilities such as dash, ground pound, and sprinting, enhancing gameplay dynamics. Developed by THQ Nordic, the game is set to launch on September 24, 2024, across multiple platforms including Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
Warren Spector, the original game's visionary, expressed enthusiasm for the remake earlier this year. However, his current focus at Otherside Entertainment makes the prospect of Epic Mickey 3 unlikely for now.
Pre-orders for Disney Epic Mickey: Rebrushed are now open, offering early access to the Costume Pack and a Collector's Edition for devoted fans. The Collector's Edition includes exclusive items like a Mickey Mouse statue and Oswald the Lucky Rabbit keychain, making it a must-have for collectors and enthusiasts.
