Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics will put six titles in one package and will be available for purchase later this year on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC via Steam, but no Xbox version.
The game collection was announced during Nintendo's latest Direct presentation and will include X-Men Children of the Atom, Marvel Super Heroes, X-Men vs. Street Fighter, Marvel Super Heroes vs. Street Fighter, Marvel vs. Capcom Clash of Super Heroes, Marvel vs. Capcom 2, and beat 'em-up The Punisher.

There will also be new features included such as the original songs from the arcade releases, development documents, and never-before-seen art. The package is said to have additional training settings as well, with one-button specials that are designed to make the games easier for newcomers.
Some people are hoping that the games will let you save and load whenever you want so that if you lose a fight, you can quickly try again. You can also view the original marquee cards while playing offline and when online, there is a rollback netcode for a hopefully smooth experience, according to IGN.
On top of these, the games will feature multiplayer support, including casual matches, lobby matches for friends, and even ranked matches. In particular, fans were delighted with the inclusion of Marvel vs. Capcom 2. This is primarily due to its lack of availability on current storefronts.

People have also started to speculate that Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics could pave the way for a potential Marvel vs. Capcom 4. This comes as Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite, the latest mainline entry in the franchise, was released in 2017.
The new training mode in Capcom's game collection will let players practice and hone their skills before facing off against other people. There will also be online leaderboards that will update in real time and let you see where you stand amongst other fighters across the world.
Bringing Classic Arcade Titles Back
Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics marks the first time that the arcade version of The Punisher becomes available on home consoles and PCs. This is while the game was ported to the Sega Genesis in 1994, said GameSpot.
In Capcom's social media announcement of the game package, the studio said that they will take players on a ride back to the arcades. Despite the relatively positive reception to the new collection, it is missing the modern crossover games Marvel vs. Capcom 3 and its sequel, Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite.
For now, what fans know about the game package is that it will retail for $49.99 and Capcom has not yet announced whether or not it will be getting a physical release.
But given the popularity of the games included in the collection as well as how many fans have been looking forward to a new release, a physical release would be welcome.
Some fans are also hoping that the game collection will be released with a special edition that features some bonuses at a higher price tag. But for now, we will have to wait for additional information from Capcom to know more, according to ComicBook.
