One of the new gameplay introductions to the city-building game is the addition of four new handcarts when players own a level two storehouse. This addition will make it slightly easier and more efficient for you to transport goods around your settlement.

The new carts will also ease the hassle that your peasants experience in their lower backs, but is this not something that is reflected in the gameplay. On top of the new handcarts, the food cart and firewood cart have been changed up, letting them import until they reach their limit, according to PCGamesN.

This is great news for those who want to make sure that they have enough food and firewood on hand and lets you passively build up supply without having to actively do much.

However, everything costs something, which means you run the risk of experiencing issues down the line if you don't pay attention to what you spend.

Other than various gameplay changes and balance updates, the latest patch also brings a major optimization pass that makes things in the game run just a little bit smoother. These include loading times being improved, chimney smoke now slowing the game down as much, and other small changes.

Another example is a change related to hoeing and sowing where previously if too many people were farming the same area, the sound buffer would get clogged. But now, there is a new concurrent sound limit that makes sure this will no longer happen.

Developer Slavic Magic's latest update also prevents a bug that made peasants block the road and prevented workers from transporting goods. There have also been some problems that caused crashes due to problems with trade that have been resolved, said Gagadget.

Addressing the Game's Various Issues

Grzegorz Styczen also said that if he does not find any major or critical problems in Manor Lords, he will shift his focus in the near future to adding new mechanics and content to the game.

This comes as the city-builder has been one of the greatest early access titles of the year and was able to sell 2 million copies as of last month. Updates have been gradually coming out on Steam ahead of its 1.0 update.

The developer said that for the first month after release, he tried to be careful not to make any risky changes. He noted that his goal was to stabilize the main branch, which is to get rid of the most common and annoying issues that players have been experiencing.

He also said that he will continue to read players' feedback on the game to see if the build is stable enough to last a bit longer.

The developer noted that it would be a nice time to go into the "dev cave" to have some fun experiments and changes that can be pushed to the live game, according to GamesRadar.
