A Haunting Experience on Apple Devices

Resident Evil 7, which originally terrified gamers in 2017, is known for its immersive first-person gameplay and a haunting narrative praised for its pacing and atmospheric tension. The game follows Ethan Winters as he searches for his missing wife in the eerie swamps of Louisiana, encountering the mysterious and dangerous Baker family.

The transition to Apple devices is not just a simple port. Capcom has optimized the game to harness the power of Apple's A17 Pro processor, enabling high-fidelity graphics with hardware-accelerated ray tracing. This advancement promises to deliver a console-quality experience on all compatible devices.

Resident Evil 2 Remake Also in Development

Moreover, the remake of Resident Evil 2 is in development for the same platforms, with a release date yet to be announced. The remake reimagines the 1998 classic, allowing fans to relive the terrifying adventures of Leon Kennedy and Claire Redfield with modernized graphics and gameplay.

Both titles will use Apple's MetalFX Upscaling technology to deliver impressive visuals and remarkable performance on iPhone, iPad, and Mac. Players can sample a segment of each game for free at launch, with the option to access the complete experience through a one-time purchase.

The titles offer Universal Purchase and cross-progression between iPhone, iPad, and Mac, allowing players to continue their save games whether at home or on the go.

The iPhone and iPad versions of Resident Evil 7 will include enhanced controls with a new Auto Fire feature, providing an approachable option to automatically fire weapons after aiming at enemies for a set period. Compatible Bluetooth controllers are also supported, offering an experience similar to home consoles.

Pre-orders for Resident Evil 7 are available starting today, with the main game and "Not A Hero" story downloadable content, featuring Chris Redfield, being released together as a bundle. Players can also explore Ethan Winters' story further with the Gold Edition upgrade, which expands the game with additional downloadable content.
