Activision has clarified that Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will not require a 300 GB download, despite what was previously stated. Players were alarmed by the Xbox store page, which listed the game as needing a 309.85 GB download. This large size worried many, as it would take up a significant amount of space on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X | S consoles.

Activision Clears Up File Size Confusion
Activision addressed the confusion in a post on X. They explained that the file size shown includes full installations of Modern Warfare II, Modern Warfare III, Warzone, and all content packs, including all languages. This does not reflect the actual size of a typical player install.

Activision clarified, "The estimated file size currently shown on the Black Ops 6 pre-order pages is incorrect. It includes the full installations of Modern Warfare II, Modern Warfare III, Warzone, and all related content packs, along with all localized languages. This does not reflect the actual download size or disk footprint for Black Ops 6 that players will experience."
Players will have the option to download only Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 without additional language packs. While the exact size of the game remains unknown, Activision promises to share more details closer to the game's release.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is Treyarch's latest addition to the Black Ops series, revealed earlier this year. The first detailed look at the game was provided at the Xbox Games Showcase and Black Ops 6 Direct. This installment, set in the '90s, features new weapons and gameplay, including omnidirectional movement and new Zombies maps.
