Warhammer 40K Introduces 'Forges of Corruption' DLC for Boltgun

Focus Entertainment and Auroch Digital have announced the release of the first DLC for Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun. The "Forges of Corruption" DLC will launch on June 18 for PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PS4. Nintendo Switch users will get the DLC at a later date. What's New in the Forges of Corruption DLC?

The DLC introduces new enemies, including the powerful Helbrute, the heavily armed Havoc, and the fearsome Terminator with lightning claws. To counter these threats, players will have access to new weapons like the Multi-melta and the Missile Launcher.

Focus Entertainment will also offer a bundle that includes the base game and the 'Forges of Corruption' DLC at a discounted price. More details about this bundle will be shared during a Q&A session on the developers' Discord channel on May 24.

Free Horde Mode for All Warhammer 40K Boltgun Players

Responding to player feedback, Auroch Digital is developing a new horde mode, which will be available for free as a standalone update. Similar to the survival modes seen in other games, like the Gears of War franchise, this mode challenges players to survive against endless waves of enemies. The difficulty will increase with each wave, offering four different difficulty settings and new achievements.

The horde mode update, arriving on June 18, will also include a navigation guide to assist players through levels, along with various bug fixes and quality-of-life improvements.

Additionally, Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun will be discounted by 35% during the Warhammer Skulls Festival, making it a perfect time for new players to jump in. This marks the first significant discount on consoles since April.
