Fallout Franchise Teased for Fortnite Battle Royale Crossover

The mega-hit battle royale game's official X account confirmed the news today. They shared an image showing a dusty landscape and a proud individual in Brotherhood of Steel T-60 power armor. The post did not share much detail about what the crossover will include, but it referenced Vault Boy's iconic wink-and-thumbs-up pose.

New Season Details

Developer Epic Games updated Fortnite's in-game news feed, confirming that Chapter 5 Season 3: Wrecked will start "courtesy of the Brotherhood of Steel" on May 24.

Fans are left guessing about what Fallout content will appear in Fortnite. There are many characters, items, and moments from the Fallout series to choose from. The Brotherhood of Steel, one of Fallout's most famous factions, will likely be featured, possibly as a purchasable skin. Music from the series, like The Ink Spots' "I Don't Want to Set the World on Fire," could also be included. A Vault Boy skin is another possible addition.

Fallout's Background

Fallout began with the release of the original game in the late '90s. Since then, it has only grown in popularity. The series reached new heights recently with the release of Amazon Prime Video's Fallout TV series. This has led to speculation that characters from the show, like Ella Purnell's Lucy, Aaron Moten's Maximus, and Walton Goggins' Ghoul, could appear in Fortnite.

The next season of Fortnite launches soon, so more details about the Fallout crossover will likely be revealed in the coming days. Meanwhile, players are still enjoying Chapter 5 Season 2: Myths and Mortals.
