New Ships Enhance Hauling Capabilities
The Equinox expansion will bring four new industrial ships into the game, each designed to improve the transportation of resources. The lineup includes the Squall, a Tech I Hauler, and the Deluge, a Tech II Blockade Runner, among others.
The Squall is an entry-level hauler aimed at new players, offering a reliable ship for transporting resources. Despite being a basic model, the Squall is equipped with defensive features to protect against pirates or rival corporations.
The Deluge, a more advanced version of the Squall, trades some cargo space and firepower for stealth capabilities. This ship is ideal for sneaking past enemies and performing covert operations, especially in the hands of an experienced pilot.
Upgraded Ships for Advanced Operations
Another new ship based on the Squall design is the Torrent. Unlike the Deluge, the Torrent focuses on increasing carrying capacity and firepower, sacrificing some mobility. It also includes a fleet hangar, enhancing its defensive capabilities and making it a robust choice for transporting large quantities of goods.
The Avalanche is the largest new ship introduced in this expansion. It's the first freighter in EVE Online to feature high-power slots, giving it firepower comparable to that of battleships. Additionally, the Avalanche can equip shield flex hardeners, setting a new standard for freighter defense in the game.
More Than Just Ships
Beyond the new ships, the Equinox expansion will introduce new ways for players to interact with system sovereignty via the Admin Hub. New structures, such as the Skyhook for siphoning planetary resources and the Metenox Moon Miner platform, will streamline moon mining, making it faster and less tedious. EVE Online: Equinox update is set to release on June 11.
