The game, which garnered over 200,000 negative reviews due to the incident, saw a significant drop in player sentiment.While Sony retracted its controversial decision, Arrowhead grappled with the dilemma of whether to proceed with the scheduled DLC release.

CEO Initiates Public Vote

Johan Pilestedt, Arrowhead's CEO, took to X to express concerns about potentially aggravating the community's wounds by releasing the DLC amidst lingering discontent. In a move towards transparency and community involvement, Pilestedt announced a public vote to determine the fate of the DLC.

The poll, currently live and set to conclude soon, presents two options: proceed with the release or postpone it. As of now, the majority of voters, constituting 74%, advocate for releasing the DLC as planned.
