Adorable city builder Fabledom, which has managed to get nearly 90% positive rating on Steam, has been revealed to leave early access on May 13, 2024.
Fabledom has thousands of reviews on Valve's gaming platform and its publisher, Dear Villagers, said that it has sold more than 150,000 copies. Additionally, the cutesy city builder has more than twice that number of wishlists.
Fabledom Will Leave Early Access in May
The game is set in a fairytale kingdom of trolls, knights, and princesses and offers players a warm and optimistic approach to the city-building genre. It had also just recently launched a new update, "A Wedding in a Chateau."
In it, players have already started to explore the new mechanics and structures that were introduced, including the luxurious Castle and the romantic Feasting Hall. In this update, players can set off on the ultimate romantic journey that culminates in a memorable wedding ceremony.
Fabledom will also be released on consoles and will arrive in the future to make sure that all players can join in the fun sometime later this year. The game's description calls it the ideal laid-back city builder title, according to GodIsAGeek.
Key features of Fabledom include being able to build your own kingdom from the ground up, letting you fill it with castles, barracks, farms, fields, houses, and many more. Furthermore, you are able to customize buildings to how you like with a variety of decorations and utilities.

The game also has you gathering a sizable army, choosing your champion, and defending your kingdom against evil neighbors and their minions. You can also instead go out and conquer other regions or send your hero to fight on your behalf in a quest to discover epic loot.
And what kingdom game would be complete without a damsel in distress, and Fabledom is no different. The game lets you find a princess and you can fall in love and later have your very own wedding. On top of this, the game also features many other princes in peril who also have a hard time staying out of trouble.
Building Your Own Kingdom
In Fabledom, the people are called Fablings and the game's trailer implies that they have been able to cultivate a lovely way of life by being loners in the world that others tend to avoid. This means that while others are busy with war and politics, Fablings are relaxed and grow crops and tend to livestock and flower gardens, said Rock Paper Shotgun.
The game's marriage system is also rather innovative as your potential partner could be in debt and you will have to cover these by skimming from your woodcutters, miners, or other workers. Doing this would reduce their output for a while but work better for you in the long term.
The game's developer is Grenaa Games, which is a brand-new studio that is based in Sweden. Fabledom is the company's first official title and is being developed by only two people. Grenaa Games is hoping to create games that emphasize fun and charm and also bring joy into people's lives, according to GamesPress.
