Supercell, the creators of the highly popular Clash of Clans mobile game, is launching its first new game in five years, a multiplayer squad-building action game Squad Busters.
While there is not much information yet about the upcoming game, there have been a few trailers and reveals that have been made. The global launch of Squad Busters is set for May 29, 2024, and the game will be available for both iOS and Android devices.
Supercell's Squad Busters
Squad Busters has also been soft-launched in some countries and players who live in Canada, Denmark, Finland, Mexico, Norway, Singapore, Spain, and Sweden can already download the game.
The latest Supercell title introduces itself as a 10-person multiplayer game where you will be able to build squads over the course of 4-minute matches. The goal of the game is to grab more gems than other players.
Each match will have players start out with only a single unit and the progression will have them upgrade characters and take on enemies around the map in order to get stronger. Supercell is now leaning heavily on collaborations with other games from its list of games, according to GameSpot.
These include Brawl Stars and Clash Royale and Squad Busters' learning curve was designed to be approachable for everybody. Players who want to get a headstart before the game gets a lot more competitive will only have to wait a few more weeks.

Those who are eager to play the game can pre-register for Squad Busters on the App Store ahead of the full launch. The first trailer for the game was a short 30-second clip that featured a chest in the middle of a field.
This was followed by the barbarian from Clash of Clans coming out and running accompanied by a chicken. Soon after, Colt from Brawl Stars joins in and then the group becomes a collection of various characters from other Supercell games.
An Action-Packed Multiplayer Game
The second trailer was released to announce the second beta test and showed off some gameplay footage. Fans saw various characters run around a variety of maps fighting enemies, collecting coins, and unlocking chests, said Pocket Tactics.
Finally, the launch trailer featured an action-packed animated short that showed just how chaotic Squad Busters can be. At the start of every match, players will be given random "mods" that add special rules to that particular game.
One of the mods that have been revealed is Pinata Party which includes a sentient pinata that can be smacked to drop a bunch of loot. Another is the Royal Haunt which populates the map with a variety of royal ghosts. Double Trouble, on the other hand, doubles the size of players' squads.
The CEO of Supercell, Ilkka Paananen, said that their dream was to create great games that as many people as possible play for several years and will be remembered forever. He also expressed his thanks to the Squad Busters team.
Paananen said that the upcoming game has already shown that it has massive potential as it becomes the company's first full launch since Brawl Stars was released in 2018. He noted that the new game brings Supercell characters together in a fun way, according to Pocket Gamer.
