Elemental Excitement Turns Sour
With the recent Elements update in Fortnite, fans of both the game and the beloved series "Avatar: The Last Airbender" rejoiced as all four elemental powers made their debut as Mythic abilities. However, the celebration was short-lived as a critical issue surfaced, prompting the temporary removal of Earthbending from the gameplay roster.
Earthbending Element Meets Its Match
The glitch, detected within hours of Earthbending's introduction on Apr. 12, disrupted gameplay by rendering earth projectiles uncontrollable and unaffected by player-built structures. This not only caused inconsistency during gameplay but also led to frustrating encounters as buildings crumbled under the impact of misplaced earth projectiles.
A Swift Response and Resolution
Recognizing the severity of the issue, Fortnite developers promptly vaulted the Earthbending ability to address the glitch. Within a short timeframe, the bug was identified and patched, allowing for the seamless reintegration of Earthbending into the game.
