What to Expect from the Next-Gen Update

The update brings native applications for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, allowing players to enjoy Fallout 4 at a silky smooth 60 frames per second with increased resolutions. Additionally, players will have the option to choose between Performance mode and Quality mode settings, catering to individual preferences.

For those still gaming on PS4 and Xbox One, the update isn't leaving you behind. Expect improved stability, along with fixes for login and quest issues, ensuring a smoother experience overall.

PC Players Rejoice

PC players will also see significant improvements with widescreen and ultra-widescreen support for higher-spec systems. The update also addresses various issues with the Creation Kit and provides updates to quests, alongside a plethora of bug fixes.

Moreover, Fallout 4 will soon be available on the Epic Games Store, expanding the game's reach to a broader audience. Additionally, it's now officially Steam Deck verified, ensuring compatibility with Valve's handheld gaming device.

Exciting New Content

Bethesda doesn't stop there. Alongside the update, players can expect additional content, including the Enclave Remnants questline. This new storyline delves into the Pre-War cabal, The Enclave, as players embark on the quest "Echoes of the Past" to thwart their dangerous plans in the Commonwealth.

Furthermore, players can look forward to workshop items and themed content like the Halloween Workshop pack, featuring 38 new decorations to spookify settlements.

The timing of this announcement seems deliberate, coinciding with the release of Amazon's Fallout adaptation. With the first season available to stream on Prime, Fallout fans have even more to look forward to beyond the gaming realm.
