Starfield's Latest Patch 1.10.31 Eradicates Lockpicking Frustrations

Bethesda Game Studios has rolled out the much-anticipated Update 1.10.31 for Starfield, bringing a host of fixes and improvements to the gaming experience. Lockpicking Penalty Removal

The focal point of this update revolves around the elimination of penalties incurred during the lockpicking minigame. Previously, players faced the loss of a valuable resource, known as Digipicks, when opting to use the "Undo" feature to correct mistakes during lockpicking attempts. This penalty system, while adding an element of challenge, often proved irksome for players, especially during high-difficulty lockpicking scenarios.

Addressing player feedback, Bethesda Game Studios has opted to remove the Digipick cost associated with using the "Undo" feature, effectively streamlining the lockpicking experience. With this change, players can now approach lockpicking with greater confidence, knowing that mistakes can be rectified without incurring additional penalties.

Community Reception and Patch Notes

The announcement of this patch has been met with a positive response from the Starfield community, with many players expressing appreciation for the studio's responsiveness to player feedback. Alongside the removal of lockpicking penalties, Update 1.10.31 also introduces various fixes and optimizations across different aspects of the game.

The comprehensive patch notes provided by Bethesda Game Studios detail a wide array of improvements, ranging from art adjustments and bug fixes to gameplay enhancements. Notable changes include improvements to ship UI performance, adjustments to object placements in various game locations, and fixes for issues affecting gameplay mechanics such as ship power allocations and crew bonuses.
