On Mar. 4, Riot Games announced on its social media channels that the new agent would be showcased during the final match at VCT Masters Madrid on Mar. 24. Code Name, Release Date, and More
Riot Games often leaves hints in its in-game assets, and players spotted a noteworthy player card in Episode 8 Act 1 Battle Pass, suggesting the arrival of the next Valorant agent. This unique player card features purple and yellow hues and a distinctive butterfly-like silhouette. Twitter leaker ValorLeaks hinted at the new agent being a "Controller" and suggested a possible release window in Mar. 2024 for Valorant Episode 8 Act 2.
ValorLeaks shared, "Card belongs towards the agent codenamed 'SmokeDancer.'"
