Warzone's Ranked Resurgence Mode Plagued by Cheaters Sporting Grenade Launchers

Cheater Onslaught Mars Competitive Resurgence

Season 2 introduced a competitive twist to Resurgence, featuring seven skill divisions where players strive for a spot in the Top 250. Skill rating (SR) progression, tied to placement and kills, adds a layer of strategy.

However, cheaters armed with grenade launchers have introduced chaos, with renowned player Lenun documenting a clear instance of cheating in a recent clip. The fully automatic grenade launcher, not native to Warzone, featured an aim bot, targeting Lenun and teammates with deadly accuracy.

Ricochet Anti-Cheat Falters as Launchers Slip Through

Despite explicit bans on launchers in Ranked Resurgence, cheaters manage to bypass Warzone's Ricochet anti-cheat system. The mode's entry requirement of reaching level 55 aims to deter cheaters, but Lenun's encounter exposes the limitations of current countermeasures.

Raven Software's promised "zero-tolerance policy related to cheating" appears insufficient, urging the community to push for stronger anti-cheat measures to safeguard competitive integrity.
