Developer Eleventh Hour Games is set to launch Last Epoch version 1.0 in a couple of days. To prepare and entice new players to pick up this ARPG, the company has disclosed new information about two new masteries that are coming to the game.
Warlock
The curse-wielding Warlock is an upcoming mastery in Last Epoch that specializes in weakening enemies with curses and then finishing them off with other devastating spells, such as the Chthonic Fissure. When used, the Warlock opens up the ground, dealing fire damage over time to monsters that are in its area of effect. Additionally, spirits fly out to attack nearby enemies, ensuring that they have no chance of survival after Chthonic Fissure is cast.
But, the main highlight of the Warlock is the curses that are available to this mastery. There are several curses that are at the Warlock's disposal, including Anguish, Penance, Decrepify, Acid Skin, and Torment.
Anguish is a curse that not only reduces damage over time dealt. But more importantly, every time you kill an enemy, you deal necrotic damage to all monsters that are afflicted by this curse as well.
Another notable curse is Decrepify, which causes affected monsters to take more damage from damage-over-time abilities based on the caster's missing health.

Falconer
Another mastery that players can expect to see in Last Epoch's version 1.0 launch is the Falconer. This mastery is sort of a summoner in that it can summon and have an invincible Falcon to fight by the player's side.
The Falcon can deal huge amounts of damage and has abilities that make quick work of the enemy. For instance, its "Dive Bomb" ability allows the Falcon to fly high up in the air and drop down to cause massive AoE damage to nearby enemies.
The Falconer is also the only mastery that has access to the game's first-ever trap skill: the Explosive Trap. Monsters that will trigger the trap take a lot of damage from the resulting explosion. Furthermore, up to six Explosive Traps can be set at any time.
Last Epoch is expected to go out of Early Access on February 21. Will you try this ARPG out?
