Riot Games revealed what players can expect in the next major update for League of Legends. Among the many adjustments that will be implemented in Patch 14.4, there is one particular change that got players rejoicing and that has something to do with a rune.
Fans Rejoice
The rune in question is none other than Lethal Tempo. For those who are new to League of Legends, Lethal Tempo is a rune that grants a bonus attack speed buff to champions who are able to hit enemy champions with basic attacks. This effect can stack up to six times, which makes lightning-fast champions like Yone more devastating.
In the upcoming patch, Lethal Tempo will receive a change where the melee attack speed bonus per stack is nerfed in the early levels. Although the bonus gets better in the middle point of the match, the opposing team's champions are going to be strong by then, so much so that they will have enough measures to keep Yone at bay.
Although this is definitely bad news for those who mainly play as Yone, the majority of League of Legends players actually love the change.
Redditor Sunshado said that because of the adjustment to Lethal Tempo, Yone is less likely going to be a threat once Patch 14.4 goes live. They added that players should not underestimate this change because Yone relies heavily on Lethal Tempo to make a meaningful impact in the early game.

Long Time Coming
The nerf to Lethal Tempo was actually anticipated by a lot of League of Legends players. Redditor Raigheb said that this rune was busted for a long time, so it is only fitting that Riot Games had to step in and make suitable changes to keep the balance of the game intact.
Another player said that the nerf to Lethal Tempo does not only affect Yone but other champions as well. Junglers, or champions who are primarily utilized to roam the middle areas of the map, will have to find ways to destroy the opposition once the nerf is implemented.
So, when will Patch 14.4 go live? Barring any issues, the update is expected to drop on February 22.
