Developer Gamepires deployed quite a hefty update for SCUM, which is now available for download on Steam. Hotfix 0.9.512.81352 resolves a number of bugs, most notably the issue where zombies would just spawn out of nowhere.
Rising Hordes
SCUM is an open-world survival game, so when players encounter zombies at any point during their playthrough, things will definitely get intense.
That being said, there was a pesky bug that caused zombies to spawn out of nowhere. This, of course, is unacceptable because this may result in players being caught off-guard.
Fortunately, Gamepires was quick to address this by making suitable changes to the game's encounter-spawning location system. According to the patch notes, this should resolve the issue where zombies would rise from the ground in front of players.

Ride in Style
Aside from bug fixes, Hotfix 0.9.512.81352 added some pretty cool stuff as well. For one, players now have the ability to paint their cars by using some spray cans.
In addition, those playing on private servers can now initiate the command, #ListActiveBunkers, which will show them a list of active bunkers they can go to.
Speaking of bunkers, players who eliminate zombies inside a bunker will now have to wait 10 minutes before new ones can spawn.
