Illari's Ammo Overflow
As players explored the changes in the Overwatch 2 patch, Twitch streamer mL7 stumbled upon an unexpected quirk with Illari's Solar Rifle. The buffed primary fire charge gain, coupled with changes to the secondary fire and ultimate ability, resulted in a hilarious bug where Illari's ammo counter plunged into the negative, hitting -1,000 bullets. mL7 shared the clip on social media, showcasing the hero's relentless and never-ending gunfire.
Overwatch 2 Community Reacts as Illari Takes a Seat
Following the discovery of Illari's infinite ammo bug, the Overwatch 2 community quickly caught wind of the situation. In response, Activision Blizzard took prompt action, temporarily disabling Illari from competitive play to investigate the issue. Overwatch 2 community manager Kaedi addressed the situation on the official Blizzard forums, highlighting the need to resolve the ammunition problem before allowing the hero back into competitive matches.
The temporary removal only affects Illari's availability in competitive play, allowing players to continue using her in other game modes like Quick Play. As the development team works on a fix, they are also addressing additional game issues, including crosshair settings, Career Profile data, and the persistent LC-208 error code.
While Illari takes a brief hiatus, the latest Overwatch 2 patch introduces a range of adjustments to other heroes. Mauga sees health and shield changes, Roadhog experiences a nerf to his self-healing ability, and Sojourn's railgun charge maintains a minimum threshold. Ana, in addition to Illari, undergoes alterations to her abilities, emphasizing the dynamic nature of hero balancing in Overwatch 2.
