Torchlight: Infinite 'Twinightmare' Season Now Live

Torchlight: Infinite's newest season, called "Twinightmare," is now available! A new update has dropped for all players to download. What is in store for players when they log in?

Living the Dream

The new season is called as such because players will enter an infinite dungeon called the "Sweet Dream." On the map, they will sometimes encounter a Dream Lotus that, when interacted with, will transform the current zone into a Sweet Dream. Sweeping the entire area of enemies and filling up the special gauge will complete the Dream. Then, players get to choose one of three "Omens" that contain Dream Bubbles with rewards.

Players will go deeper into a Sweet Dream as they come across more Dream Lotuses. However, players will have to be wary about that because every time they select or upgrade an Omen, their chances of slipping into a Nightmare get deeper.

Now, every five Dream Lotus players interact with will always lead them into a Nightmare instead. When that happens, players must destroy the four Nightmare Roots that are scattered around the area. But be warned, a "Never-Ending Nightmare" chases them while they are inside the Nightmare Zone, making Nightmares even more challenging.

Fortunately, players will be rewarded when they leave the Nightmare zone, with Omens popping out with tons of loot!

A New Hero Arrives

Rosa is the newest hero added to the increasing roster of Torchlight Infinite. She is a powerhouse knight who wields a shield in one hand and a sword or axe in another.

One of her defining traits is "High Court Chariot." Whenever she blocks an enemy attack successfully, she gains five points for "Murderous Intent." When she has enough, she can activate Holy Illumination to pull mobs within range, making them easier to kill.

Activating Holy Illumination also puts enemies into a special area called the Holy Domain. Here, Rosa gains additional damage per 2% of attack or spell block chance, up to a maximum of 50%.

When built right, Rosa can deal high amounts of damage while having an impenetrable defense as well. She can use her shield to charge her way through and damage those who intend to block her path.

Torchlight: Infinite players can unlock Rosa by purchasing the Season Pass.

GAMEPLAY ADJUSTMENTS

Optimized the Path of the Brave experience; monsters will now spawn more quickly after being defeated;
Increased the animation playback speed for the Malice Cube's Covet/Crazed Fantasy;
The effect of Bounty of Greed in the Codex of the Heartless has been modified to: the chance of Coveting to SSR and UR rarities is increased by 100%, and the quantity of Desire Crystals dropped by each defeated Malice Incarnation is reduced by 50%;
When the City of Aeterna does not connect to a BOSS, the opened Portal will be a Town Portal;
Kin Lantern Bearers in the City of Aeterna will be immune to Freeze while invisible;

CHANGES TO DROPS

Added Casting Wedge to Advanced Auto Loot
Increased the drop rate for gear with 2T1 affixes, correspondingly reducing the drop rate for Flame Sand.
Increased the probability of dropping high-rarity Legendary Gear when Legendary Gear drops, correspondingly reducing the overall drop quantity of Legendary Gear

SYSTEM OPTIMIZATIONS

[System] Added a one-click recommendation feature that allows you to upload and share your own build strategies or apply others' uploaded builds.
[Hero Trait] Initial hero trait unlocking conditions have been changed.
[Netherrealm] Abandoning a fight with the Plane Watcher at lower Timemarks no longer returns Attention Points; the drop pools for Travelers and Plane Watchers no longer differ between first and subsequent challenges.
[Trade House] Increased the maximum number of stall pages from 7 to 8 to prevent the inability to obtain the stall page gifted in the Season Pass after purchasing all the stall pages in the shop.
[Trade House] The delay time for listing items in the Trade House has been changed from 0-60 minutes to 0-10 minutes.
