Developer HoYoverse has dropped a new update for Honkai Star Rail just in time before the year ends. The "Crown of the Mundane and Divine" Update introduces a plethora of new content, including a new area that was previously closed off to players until now.
New Content
Honkai Star Rail players now have access to the Seclusion Zone after updating their clients to the latest version. This area was once sealed off to the public due to unknown anomalies. However, players can now investigate and see what lies ahead.
The Crown of the Mundane and Divine Update also added a few characters to the ever-growing roster. Ruan Mei is a new 5-star Character that provides her allies with buffs that improve their SPD, RES PEN, and Weakness Break Efficiency.
Dr. Ratio is another 5-star character in Honkai Star Rail. He acquires bonuses to his critical strike rate and critical strike damage depending on the number of debuffs the enemy currently has. Players who are looking for a competent DPS character might want to include Dr. Ratio in their lineup.
While Dr. Ratio relies heavily on critical strike damage to destroy his foes, the last new character of the bunch, Xueyi, is a dependable one when it comes to depleting even the toughest monsters in the game. Xueyi's ultimate ability enables her to significantly reduce an enemy's Toughness while ignoring its Weakness Type.
Players who want a continuation of the story will be happy to know that there's some new plot to uncover in the Crown of the Mundane and Divine Update. To unlock this new storyline, players must complete the Trailblaze mission "Jarilo-VI - Silent Galaxy" first.

Other Notable Additions
Every day, Honkai Star Rail players get new messages from at least one character they own. That said, this patch has added new sticker emotes to messages to make things look a bit more lively and animated.
In terms of optimizations, Argenti's logic has been adjusted, specifically concerning his ultimate ability, "Merit Bestowed in My Garden." This ability now lets Argenti select specific targets instead of damaging enemies at random.
