New World just received Update 4.0.1 recently and it implemented huge changes to the economy that players should definitely know about. One of the biggest adjustments the developers have made affects Golden Scarab Crafting.
Changes to 'Golden Scarab' Crafts
Golden Scarabs in New World are used for crafting in-game items, including weapons, armor, jewelry, bags, and tools. That being said, the developers have made certain adjustments to make crafting more accessible.
First of all, recipes no longer require a Chromatic Seal. This is a really good change because Chromatic Seals are pretty expensive; not to mention that their unlock requirements are pretty steep for anyone looking into crafting gear themselves.
To craft items in New World after Update 4.0.1, players will now need three Golden Scarabs and a matching matrix depending on the item type. For example, players who want to craft body armor must have an Armor Matrix to do so.
Additionally, Prismatic Blocks and Blessed Rivets - materials needed for crafting the Matrices, now require fewer gemstones than before. Players only need one Powerful Gemstone (instead of two) to create a Prismatic Block and 15 Powerful Gemstones for Blessed Rivets (down from 25).

Winter Warrior Adjustments
The Winter Convergence Festival in New World is in full swing, but the developers have made some significant tweaks to how players get Winter Tokens. These tokens, for those who do not know, are used to purchase event-specific items.
That said, players who can eliminate the Winter Warrior successfully will now be awarded one Warrior's Hailspike per kill. However, players can only farm up to three of them per day. This change was done as a means to encourage players to engage with the other activities in the event.
Anyway, to make it worth their time, Warrior's Hailspikes will now convert to two Premium Winter Tokens rather than 10 normal tokens. As a result, players can get a maximum of six Premium Winter Tokens a day.
