Released on March 8, 2023, Contraband Police is developed by Crazy Rocks and published by PlayWay S.A.
The game is set in 1981, and you take on the role of a young officer trainer working at the border post in the mountainous region of Karikatka. Your main task is to maintain peace and order at the border.
Among your responsibilities is to check documents for any discrepancies, check for smuggled items, and upgrade your police stations.

Things Do Go Wrong
However, as is with any border location, there are times that things go wrong. You will find yourself engaged in police shootouts and chases.
There are also special assignments to work on that lets you thwart rebels and solve other crimes.

Contraband Police has more 11,300 users reviews as of press time on Steam. These reviews are generally described as "Very Positive" by the platform.
"This game is great," user rhogarskamor2 says in a Steam review. "The story line is engaging and the features run smoothly, it's great for anyone who likes management whilst also enjoying the occasionally fight and car chases."
"This is a safe purchase if you like rule-based, auditing sorts of games," Ol' Drippy says in a separate review. Obviously inspired by Papers Please, this has a bit more variety and progression."
