5 Pro Tips to Help You Become a Better Spartan in Halo Infinite

Are you struggling to beat your opponents in Halo Infinite? Do you find yourself stuck in the same rank for quite some time now? Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned veteran, you will come across a plateau at some point. However, there is always room for improvement!

To give you some insights, here are five pro tips to help you become a better Spartan in Halo Infinite:

Don't Go Into Multiplayer Yet

One of the most common mistakes beginners make when playing Halo Infinite is that they immediately queue up in the game's multiplayer playlists to start shooting at other Spartans. Do not fall into the same trap!

Before you can truly enjoy Halo Infinite's multiplayer modes, you must first enlist in the Academy, which is basically the game's training facility. Here, you can try out different weapons to your heart's content. Try every gun in the arsenal so that you can find some that suit your style of play. Additionally, the Academy grants you the ability to deploy in any map of the game. Be sure to go to each one so that you can familiarize yourself with the area.

These seemingly small things can make a huge difference when you're in a real match, so don't forget to head to the Academy first.

Do Not Aim for the Head

Other players would tell you to always aim for the head. While this is true in most other first-person shooters, it is not always the case in Halo Infinite.

You see, Spartans have a shield that gets depleted before their health takes a hit. Now, you can obviously reduce the shields by shooting at any part of the opponent's body, but you will have a much easier time if you aim your weapon and fire at the chest area. That's because the hitbox is way bigger there, allowing you to easily land those shots.

When the shield breaks, you will see an animation that serves as your go signal to shoot for their enemy's head.

KDA Doesn't Matter

Kill-Death-Assist or KDA is often used as a measure for players to see how good you actually are. If you have more deaths than kills or assists, you're "not" doing the job that you're supposed to. But, unless you play in a tournament where the stakes are high, do not be too stressed over the KDA. If anything, use this as a guide or motivation to do better in the next match.

Use the Ping System Religiously

Ever wonder how pro teams dominate their competition? While some of that success can be attributed to skill alone, good communication plays a crucial role as well. Now, you will be playing with people from all over the world in Halo Infinite but you can communicate with them by using the game's Ping System called "Marks."

You can place a mark on a specific location to let your team know where the enemies are. Then, coordinate with your group to launch a successful assault. Always remember to use marks as often as needed.

Abuse the Grappling Hook

The Grappling Hook is a very useful tool in Halo Infinite that can do so many things. You can use it to grab weapons off of ledges or steal Overshields before the enemy can get to them. You can also utilize the Grappling Hook in certain maps to gain the upper hand. In the "Behemoth" map, for example, you can actually grapple down a gravity lift so that you can get away from enemies that are chasing you, thus halting their advance.

There you have it! Follow these tips so that you can be a notch higher than the competition.

Halo Infinite is available on Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
