Diablo IV Debuts the 'Abattoir of Zir' and More in Next Week's Patch

Blizzard is ending Diablo IV Season of the Blood on a high note by debuting the pinnacle content of Season 2 next week called the "Abattoir of Zir."

Ready to Conquer the Abattoir?

Diablo IV had a rough start, to say the least. Things were not optimized, progression was slow, and the endgame back then was too shallow, which caused player burnout and critics clamoring for better content.

Fortunately, Blizzard has turned it around in Season 2, aka Season of the Blood, with the community praising the company for resolving issues with slow progression, and keeping players glued to their seats with Blood Harvest.

The company wants to continue the momentum by releasing the pinnacle content for this season, the Abattoir of Zir, next week. This is Diablo IV's endgame dungeon specifically made for Season of the Blood.

Once Update 1.2.3 goes live on December 5, players who have completed the Season's Journey will be given a recipe to craft the Bloodforged Sigil, which can be crafted at the Occultist. Think of this as the key to entering the terrifying blood-filled slaughterhouse. After using the Bloodforged Sigil, players can go inside the Visceral Channel that spawns in Ked Bardu, where Zir's Bloodseekers await!

The Abattoir of Zir has a total of 25 tiers that players can complete. In each tier, brave warriors only have about 10 minutes to clear the area before the boss appears. After successfully slaying the final Bloodseeker, players are going to get another Bloodforged Sigil recipe that will allow them to enter the next tier, where they can expect more powerful enemies.

Now, completing the first tier awards players with the "Tears of Blood Glyph" which they can put on their Paragon Board. This glyph is amazing because it increases the player's damage by 2% for every five "Core Stats" purchased within range. However, unlike other glyphs in the game, the Tears of Blood Glyph requires significantly more experience to level up. The good news is that the higher tiers in the Abattoir of Zir provide tremendous amounts of Paragon Glyph experience, which encourages players to try their best to reach the end of the dungeon.
