'Terrible' Gold Adjustments
In an effort to make split-pushing popular again, developer Riot Games has implemented some noteworthy changes to the turrets in League of Legends. Basically, the amount of gold that players can earn has been shifted, rewarding more gold to those who are within the vicinity of the turret at the time it was destroyed. In addition, the total amount of gold that players get from destroying Inhibitor Turrets has been increased from 300 to 500.
While the company had good intentions for implementing the said adjustments, the League of Legends community is not happy at all, with some even saying that the turret gold changes are straight-up "terrible."
Another Redditor shared a more detailed reply about why the adjustments are bad. Instead of making split pushers more valuable to the group as the match progresses, the turret changes actually make them more useless to have on the team. In other words, teams can no longer benefit from having dedicated split pushers because the amount of gold they will receive has been drastically reduced for no good reason.
Still, the Turret Gold adjustments have just been implemented. If enough players complain about these changes, Riot Games will be forced to make certain tweaks to appease the community.
Riven's Surprising Buff
The League of Legends player base is not afraid of expressing their thoughts and opinions about the game they love. Recently, a Reddit post highlighted the main reason why a lot of people do not play Riven. This champion has a high skill ceiling primarily because it is quite hard to master her "Q" ability, Broken Wings. Without getting into too much detail, Broken Wings requires animation canceling to be effective. This is quite hard to do for a vast majority of League of Legends players, so much so that even the pros are shying away from the said champion.
While there are no mechanical changes to Broken Wings in Patch 13.23, Riot Games did make the said ability a bit more rewarding to use. Broken Wing's damage has been increased from 15/35/55/75/95 (+45/50/55/60/65% AD) to 15/35/55/75/95 (+50/55/60/65/70% AD).
To take things a step further, the company has also buffed Riven's Blade of the Exile bonus attack damage from 20% to 25%.
