A major bug has plagued Modern Warfare III recently that kicks players out of the game for no good reason. Some people speculate that this is due to the game's 'overtuned' inactivity detection system.
What is the Issue?
It is no secret that competitive first-person shooters like Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III have players who patiently wait at obscure corners for the perfect opportunity to strike. There are also those who wait at respawn points just to "camp" their enemies and kill them once they resurrect.
While some developers are implementing systems to combat such behavior, it seems that folks at Sledgehammer Games may have taken things too far. Apparently, Modern Warfare III's inactivity detection system has been kicking people out of games for no good reason. This happened to a Redditor named @SlappyMcGillyCuddy who recorded footage of them being kicked out just for playing the game the right way.
In the video, the frustrated Redditor can be seen being removed from the match just because they've decided to wait a bit for opposing players to show up. It was not even a long wait as the Redditor was constantly moving to different positions to get the perfect shot.
The MWIII community is understandably not happy about the game's overly excited inactivity detection system. One Redditor replied to Slappy's post that they don't really care for camping or sniping, but it is definitely not okay to be kicked out of the game for playing it the way it was intended.
Another Redditor shared that they had a similar experience. They said that they got booted out of a Ground War match by hiding somewhere near the objectives and preventing the opposing team from capturing them. This is not, by any means, a dirty tactic. In fact, it is a legitimate strategy that requires patience and skill to pull off.
Modern Warfare III has a lot of large maps. Because of this, sniping is pretty much encouraged when playing on these maps as it is the only viable way to eliminate foes from long-range. This got one Redditor frustrated because they were removed from the game twice due to the inactivity detection system.

Not Acknowledged Yet
While a lot of Modern Warfare III players expressed their frustrations and shared their experiences on the matter, it looks like the developers have still not acknowledged this issue yet. At the time of writing, the major bug is still not placed on the game's Trello Board, which is a platform that developers use for transparency.
In order for developers to be notified about this faster, those who have experienced the issue must record some footage and file a ticket. Hopefully, this issue will be resolved sooner rather than later.
