Enter the Archives
The Endless Archive is a new PvE activity in The Elder Scrolls Online where you venture into the halls of Apocrypha's Great Library to fight the malicious forces that try to disturb the once-peaceful place. While you can explore the archive yourself, you can tag a friend along with you to make the experience even more fun!
As you delve deeper into Apocrypha's Great Library, you'll find a random assortment of enemies that you may have encountered before. Even though they look familiar, the twist here is that these foes become increasingly difficult as you complete each stage.
To help you vanquish these monsters, you can acquire powerful boons called "Verses" and "Visions." The former are boons that only last until the next stage, while the latter are boons that linger for the entirety of the run. Visions can only be obtained by defeating bosses in the Endless Archive.
To access TESO's newest PvE activity, you have to click on Apocrypha's icon on the map if you're a non-chapter owner. If you have the Necrom Chapter, you can go to the Speiran Tarn Wayshrine located at the coast of Apocrypha to enter. Take note that there are no checkpoints inside the archives, meaning you have to complete the run from start to finish.
Update 40 also introduces Class Item Sets. These are sets that, when equipped, unlock powerful buffs to certain class skill lines. For instance, the Arcanist's Reawakened Hierophant set empowers the class' Curative Runeform ability. Specifically, casting a non-ultimate Curative Runeform ability grants an effect to your allies based on how many Crux you had. At 1 Crux, your allies gain a shield that absorbs damage.
Here are the other class items sets included in Update 40:
-
Basalt-Blooded Warrior: Dragonknight, Earthen Heart
-
Wrathsun: Templar, Dawn's Wrath
-
Monolith of Storms: Sorcerer, Storm Calling
-
Soulcleaver: NIghtblade, Siphoning
-
Gardener of the Seasons: Warden, Green Balance
-
Nobility in Decay: Necromancer, Bone Tyrant
New Features
Update 40 brings a whole lot of nifty features as well. Chief among them is the new Group Finder, which is a feature that lets you look for people to play with. You can find other players to help you in dungeons, arenas, and even the new Endless Archive!
Now, if you've been playing TESO for quite some time, you know how many crafting stations this game has. To consolidate them in one convenient package, the update also introduces the new Grand Master Crafting Stations.
The Grand Master Crafting Stations basically put all of the things present in the Attunable Crafting Stations in one place. Although these stations are pretty convenient, getting them requires you to complete the "Unsurpassed Crafter" achievement. Not only that but you will also need quite a lot of resources, including 1,500 Writ Vouchers to acquire each Grand Master Station (Blacksmithing, Clothing, Woodworking, and Jewelry).
So, do you intend to venture into the Endless Archive in The Elder Scrolls Online soon?
