It has been officially announced that two new characters will be joining the Tekken 8 roster. These are none other than Reina and Victor Chevalier.
According to Kohei Ikeda, the Tekken 8 director revealed design and story details for the new characters.
Reina
Believe it or not, the character of Reina was actually conceived during the development of Tekken 7. According to Ikeda, she is meant to play a vital role in Tekken 8.
"Reina employs an acrobatic fighting style rooted in Taido, using swift and brutal techniques such as knife-hand strikes, eye pokes, and scratching that reflect her character," says the game's director. He notes that the character has learned techniques like Wind God Fist and Spinning Demon, which is said to be synonymous with the Mishima-style karate.
As for Reina's design, developers made sure that her designed show genuine martial artist's appearance that blends elements of Taido and Mishima-style karate. At the same time, the design is also able to depict a young woman who comes across as very mysterious.

Victor Chevalier
The second new character, Victor Chavelier, is described as Raven's superior and a "living legend in the French military." He is likewise the founder of the Union of Nations' armed forces. His addition to the Tekken lore is meant to add a twist to the story that has not been seen before.
"Victor is an extraordinary combatant with combat knives, karambit knives, and optical weapons," says Ikeda. "He excels in dual-wielding, combining skills from military combat techniques, science fiction, ninjutsu, super spy tactics, and gentlemanly style."
His attire, a slim suit, betrays the many people weapons that the character actually carries on his person. This makes him come across as the perfect gentleman. However, Victor is actually a character who is rather frugal and has many romances with a number of women.

Tekken 8
Tekken 8, the latest addition to Bandai Namco's hugely successful video game series, is set to be released on January 26, 2024. It is the eighth main installment to the Tekken series and the tenth overall addition.
Reina and Victor join the list of 32 characters officially announced for the game. They are two of the four official new characters, along with Jack-8 and Azucena Milagros Ortiz Castillo. The game is set six months after the events of Tekken 7 and focuses on Jin Kazama's desire to kill his father, Kazuya.
Tekken 8 will be playable on the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Windows.
