There's a great piece of news concerning Spider-Man Remastered's PC port, coming straight from the horse's mouth.
Insomniac Games looks like they did their optimization homework right as their game has been verified for the Steam Deck, days away from its initial release. As reported by GamesRadar, Deck Verified means that the game is playable on Valve's handheld gaming console from day one - no external or internal tweaking required.
Here is Insomniac's recent tweet announcing the Verified status of Spider-Man Remastered's PC port on the Deck:
Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered is Steam Deck Verified! ✅

Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered on Steam will be the latest triple-A blockbuster to join the ranks of the Steam Deck's Verified games. It also joins several of its fellow former PlayStation exclusives, which includes God Of War, Days Gone, and Horizon Zero Dawn. What this means is that Insomniac's PC port could also run excellently on desktop PCs.
Spider-Man Remastered's PC port was handled by Nixxes, as per the official announcement on the PlayStation Blog. However, it's not just Peter Parker's Spidey that was taken a look at, as Insomniac also confirmed that Miles Morales was also included in Nixxes' pipeline. The exact release date for that, however, is unknown.
Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered on PC launches on August 12th, roughly two years after it was re-launched on the PS5 and four years after it first released on the PS4. It is part of Sony and PlayStation's ever-expanding efforts into the PC gaming space, which is something that a lot of gamers are praising these days. It means that the tech/gaming giant recognizes the massive business potential of the PC gaming market.
Now, if we'll only have confirmation that a few other big PS exclusives like Returnal will finally come to PC - then we're in business.
