There's A Website That Helps PS Plus Extra Users Sort Games By Review Score, Price, Etc

Sort Through Your PS Plus Extra Library In A Jiffy

PS Plus Extra offers a ton of games for subscribers to enjoy, all downloadable to their consoles whenever they want. However, the sheer number of games the service offers can overwhelm most people - which is something that the website Plat Prices wants to help with.

LONDON, ENGLAND - MARCH 28: A detailed view of a PS4 controller as players practice during day one of the 2019 ePremier League Finals at Gfinity Arena on March 28, 2019 in London, England.

As reported by GameRant, Plat Prices helps PS Plus Extra subscribers sort through the service's catalog by review scores, price, and even estimated completion times. There's around 400 games on PlayStation Plus Extra right now, and having the ability to sort them can help you decide easier whether they're worth sinking your time into or not.

Aside from sorting games out by the above-mentioned categories, the website also provides information on sales and how much time is left before discounts are gone. As of this writing, there are over 1,000 discounted games part of PlayStation's Summer Sale. Plat Prices will indicate whether a sale event is still active or has already passed, while also putting into the forefront any games that just got discounted for a limited time.

To cap things off, here's one for the trophy hunters out there. There's even an option for sorting games based on whether they have Platinum trophies or not. So if you're looking to further beef up your Platinum trophy collection, you can use that.

All in all, the website allows PS Plus Extra subscribers to make the absolute most out of their $14.99/month subscription fee. Think about just how useful the sorting feature is if you want to find a new game to play, but don't have an entire week or more just to spend on a single title. Just sort the games out by completion time, pick the one that fits your schedule, and off you go!

Sony revealed their revamped PlayStation Plus subscription service, previously codenamed Spartacus, as their de-facto competitor to Microsoft's PC and Xbox Game Pass. While PS Plus doesn't offer Day One releases, it does still give players access to classic titles from as far back as the PS1 era - making it an excellent choice for those who just want to never run out of games to play.

Best PS Plus Extra Games To Try Out

So you just subscribed to PlayStation Plus Extra, and don't know which games to try first. That's alright! You can use Plat Prices as we previously mentioned, but we can also help you out by recommending a few must-play titles to start with.

  • Bloodborne - This PlayStation-exclusive Soulsborne has become a big favorite on Sony's consoles, mainly because it doesn't seem to work like a Soulsborne. Whereas other games are focused on making you study your opponents before making your move, Bloodborne and its combat focuses on increased aggression (via Digital Trends). You are encouraged to take the fight to your enemies, and it feels oh so good when you get to take them down one by one.
  • Uncharted: Lost Legacy - This game does away with long-time lead Nathan Drake and shifts the focus on his compatriot, the sultry-voiced Chloe Frazer. While not as long as a typical mainline Uncharted game, Lost Legacy does make the most of its runtime by giving it a brisk pace without sacrificing what made the entire treasure-hunting franchise amazing in the first place (via Kotaku).
  • Stray - This indie puzzle platformer is 2022's biggest gaming surprise, and for good reason. As per Polygon, it basically just allows you to have fun being a cat - with most of your actions having sense within the game's systems, or just being nonsensical at all. It's a much-needed break from the modern gaming industry's stale offerings, and that's a good thing. We praised Stray in our review for being a very focused, simple experience that still works great without overcomplicating things.
