Today's #SteamSpotlight feature is one of the many World War II games. It combines real-time tactics with stealth, making for an exciting, edge-of-your-seat kind of game.

Developed by Alter Games and published by Daedalic Entertainment, Partisans 1941 was released on October 14, 2020. As previously mentioned, it is during World War II, specifically in the Eastern Front.
According to the game's Steam page, you play as Red Army commander Alexey Zorin, who manages to escape a Nazi prison camp. After escaping, you decide to put together a partisan squad comprised of both soldiers and locals.
You also get to take part in "an operation initiated by Red Army staff quarters and conducted by all Partisan teams in the area: A strike on the German forces' supply lines for the frontlines, with the goal of buying additional time for the defenders of Leningrad to prepare against the German attack."

What You Can Expect From Partisans 1941
The gameplay of Partisans 1941 is an exciting mix of stealth, combat, and even ambushes. You get to choose the way you go about each mission you are given and even customize your squad as you will be tasked with finding, recruiting, and leveling up your members.
You also have to build your base as part of your tasks as the leader of the group. You will also be expected to keep your squad's morale up and make sure to prepare for assignments.
Partisan 1941 also offers a different angle on World War II. Many, if not most, World War II games focus on the events in the Western Front, which includes France and Belgium. Partisan 1941 offers a look at the Eastern Front instead, which includes Russia and Poland.

Partisans 1941 has more than 4,000 user reviews on Steam as of press time. These reviews are generally described as "Very Positive" by the platform.
A Steam user who goes by the username enenkei257 says in a review that the game is "overall a good game, very addictive, and last but not least, it was challenging enough to enjoy the game." enenkei257 thinks that having a base camp is a "cool idea" and that the combat outcomes are unpredictable.
Another Steam user who goes by the handle Paprika says in a separate review that Partisans 1941 is a "total breath of fresh air in the strategy genre as of late, and a perfect successor to the Commandos games I used to (awkwardly) play when I was a kid."
