For today's feature, we shine the spotlight on an online co-op game that requires you to solve puzzles and riddles in order to escape from a mysterious castle in Antarctica.

Developed and published by Total Mayhem Games, We Were Here Forever was released just recently, specifically on May 10, 2022.
Before we go any further, we already want to make it clear that this game cannot do solo play. It is a co-op game that requires both players to have an internet connection as well as a working microphone that is compatible with the PC you are using. Why is that?
Basically, the premise of We Were Here Forever is you and another prisoner, who is basically the person you are playing with, are trapped in a place called Castle Rock. You two have to work together to escape from Castle Rock by solving puzzles and riddles along the way.
So what is the microphone for? In the game, your characters are equipped with walkie-talkies, according to the official website of Talking Mayhem Games. That means that you must literally communicate with one another in order to escape Castle Rock.

The We Were Here Series
We Were Here Forever is actually the fourth game in a series known as We Were Here.
The first game, which is where the series got its name from, was released in 2017 and is actually free to play on Steam. The second game, We Were Here Too, was released a year after, while the third game, We Were Here Together, was released in 2019.
Every game in the series is actually a standalone co-op adventure game. While the stories of each game are connected to one another, you do not necessarily have to play all four games in order to understand what is going on.

Steam Reviews for We Were Here Forever
We Were Here Forever has more than 4,200 user reviews on its Steam page as of press time. These reviews are generally described as "Very Positive" by the platform.
A Steam user who goes by the handle Ante Robb says in a review that the game is "lots of fun to play, especially when you have a good partner."
Another Steam user who goes by the handle Brödyest GT says in a separate review that "The game improves on its predecessors in every way, without losing the magic that made the series unique in the first place."
"If you're not interested in puzzle solving, then this game is going to be an extremely dull experience; alternatively, if you are, then I cannot recommend it highly enough," Brödyest GT adds.
